How to use it
Type the network name
Enter the SSID exactly as it appears on your router, including capital letters and spaces. A single wrong character and the code will not connect.
Choose the security type
Pick WPA/WPA2/WPA3 for almost every modern router. Only use WEP for old equipment, and choose the open option if the network has no password.
Download and place it
Download as PNG for screens or SVG for printing, then put it where people need it: reception, the fridge, a table stand or the guest room.

Best practices
- Create a separate guest network. Sharing your main password with everyone who visits is not something you can undo.
- Test the printed code with an Android phone and an iPhone before making copies. Both handle WiFi codes natively, but only from a decent print.
- Print at 3 cm or more per side for tabletop distance, and keep the white margin around the code intact.
- If you change the password, the old code stops working. Reprint it or keep the source file handy.
Limitations
- The password travels in plain text inside the code. Anyone who photographs the sign can read it with a QR reader.
- Enterprise networks with a user and password (WPA2-EAP, eduroam and similar) cannot be encoded this way.
- Some older Android versions and a few manufacturer camera apps need a dedicated QR reader instead of the default camera.
Privacy
The QR code is generated in your browser with JavaScript. Your SSID and password never travel to our servers, are not stored and are not logged. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
