GenerateQR is a free tool. Using it means you accept the terms below, which exist mainly to make clear what we are not responsible for.

1. The service is provided as is
GenerateQR is offered free of charge, as is and as available, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be available, error free, uninterrupted or fit for any particular purpose. We may change, limit or discontinue any part of the service at any time and without notice.
2. You are responsible for what you create
You are solely responsible for the content you encode and for how the resulting QR codes are used, published or distributed. Do not use GenerateQR to create codes that lead to fraudulent, illegal, misleading or harmful content, that infringe third party rights, or that impersonate anyone. We have no way of seeing what you encode and therefore no way of reviewing or moderating it.
3. No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GenerateQR and the people behind it accept no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the use of this site or of the codes created with it. This expressly includes: codes that do not scan, printed material that has to be reproduced, lost business, incorrect or outdated data encoded in a code, loss of access to a network or account, and any damage caused by third parties who scan or alter a code you published.
4. Verify before printing
QR codes are physical objects once printed and cannot be corrected afterwards. Always scan and verify a code with more than one device before producing it at scale. We accept no responsibility for print runs, signage, packaging or any other material produced with a code that was not verified beforehand.
5. Codes created by other people
The reader tool shows you the content of a QR code you provide. It performs basic checks on the destination, but it is not a security product and does not assess whether a site is trustworthy. An absence of warnings does not mean a destination is safe. The decision to open any link is always yours.
6. Data and privacy
QR codes are generated and read entirely in your browser. The content you type or the images you upload are not sent to our servers and are not stored by us. We use analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as which tools are used and which formats are downloaded. We never record the content of the codes.
7. Changes and applicable law
These terms may be updated at any time. The version published on this page is the one that applies. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
